Extension to Abergwili

Here’s a sneak preview of the view along the extension south to Abergwili Junction. Since this video was taken more work has been done and the alignment of the track has been adjusted after the visit of the Tamper machine.

The video shows the journey south towards Abergwili, with the river Gwili along the left hand side and the A484 road to the right along most of the route. This serves to illustrate the narrow ledge that the railway was built on in the 1860’s.

This was taken in the middle of the summer so the lineside growth is apparent, constant efforts are required for a neat and tidy cess.
