Last month the Gwili Railway introduced a new Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) system for the Gwili Souvenir Shop and Ticket Office. Peter Nicholas, Finance Officer who has overseen the introduction of this new touch-screen electronic system had this to say,

“The new EPOS system streamlines the process meaning less waiting time for our customers. It’s very easy and fun to use so we hope to encourage more people to volunteer to work in the shop. As it keeps good records of our shop sales it will make stock ordering more efficient and make doing our accounts easier.”

Rob Voyle, The Gwili Railway Company Chairman added,

“The EPOS system represents another step forward for the Gwili along with all the over exciting developments happening this year.”

The Gwili Railway Souvenir Shop stocks a range of model railway supplies, local ‘Gwili preserves and chutneys, second-hand railway books, pocket-money toys and souvenirs.

If you’d like to volunteer to work in the Gwili shop, download a New Volunteer Application Form from our website.
